Go Box Support

All Go Box models transmit MIDI messages on channel 16. The buttons send Note On messages at velocity 127 when pressed, and Note On messages at velocity 0 when released; note 1 for the Go Box 1, notes 1 - 4 for the Go Box 4, and notes 1 - 6 for the Go Box 6.

Click on any of the above images to see them in greater detail...

You can set up QLab® to work with your Go Box by opening a QLab workspace, going to Settings, and choosing MIDI Controls from the list on the left. You can then either manually assign Note On messages to each command that you want to control using your Go Box, or you can click the "Capture" button next to the command you wish to control, and then press the button you wish to use for that command.

Alternately, you can download pre-configured QLab® 3 workspaces by clicking on the icons below.

For additional help, please email us at any time.

Download a QLab® 3 workspace pre-configured to work with Go Box 4, using standard "Musical" MIDI Controls mapped to go, stop, select previous cue, and select next cue.

Download an alternate QLab® 3 workspace for Go Box 4 which uses OSC cues in a separate cue list rather than workspace-level MIDI Controls. This allows a bit more flexibility, but it's a slightly fussier setup. Try both options and see which you prefer.

Download a QLab® 3 workspace pre-configured to work with Go Box 6, using standard "Musical" MIDI Controls mapped to go, stop, select previous cue, select next cue, pause all, and resume all.

Download an alternate QLab® 3 workspace for Go Box 6 which uses OSC cues in a separate cue list rather than workspace-level MIDI Controls. This allows a bit more flexibility, but it's a slightly fussier setup. Try both options and see which you prefer.
